New career for Lindsay Lohan: the American actress takes on the role of muse for Allbirds, the environmentally friendly sports brand.

Lindsay Lohan, sports fan? What is certain is that the American actress has agreed to lend her face to the brand Allbirds time for a humorous video. The concept: to present the brand’s most high-performance running shoe, the tree-flyer, in a new colourway, Lux Pink. A nuance that makes the actress, whose career exploded with the film, say Lolita in spite of me : “Well it’s Wednesday“, a reference to the cult line from the feature film released in 2005 in France, “On Wednesdays, we wear pink”.

Allbirds, the eco-responsible sports brand listed on the stock exchange

It’s in 2015 that Tim Brown and Joey Zwillinger decide to launch Allbirds. The first is a former football player in New Zealand and the second, an engineer based in San Francisco, where the brand’s headquarters are now. Their idea is to create eco-responsible (and comfortable) sneakers whose coating is knitted from merino wool (New Zealand is populated by merino sheep). A global approach valid for all the elements that make up the brand’s sneakers: the laces are made from recycled water bottlesthe soles are made from castor beansthe products are packaged in recycled boxes… So many initiatives that have established Allbirds as one of the major players in sustainable sport. Since November 2021, the brand, adopted by Leonardo DiCaprio and barack obama, is listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. When introduced, Allbirds was valued at more than $3 billion. With 39 stores around the world, mainly located in the United States, the label should calmly continue its expansion in the years to come. In France, go to the Bon Marché Rive Gauche to test the products, lifestyle sneakers, running sneakers and clothing signed Allbirds.
