The formal event, taking place at the Chatham Armory on Oct. 25, features a gourmet meal and offers those in attendance an opportunity to bid on a variety of experiences in a live and silent auction.
Guests will also learn about the impact of hospice in the community, with a local family sharing their story.
Returning this year is the diamond draw, compliments of Mittons Jewelers in Ridgetown, and for the second year, the golden ticket draw, which allows the winner to take instant ownership of a silent auction item.
The evening will conclude with an after-party and DJ for those who wish to stay.
“This truly is a special evening that strikes the perfect balance of good times for a good cause,” Ginny Hawken, special event committee chair and foundation board member, said in a release. “The memories you make with your friends at events like the gala are exactly the kind of moments people reminisce about.

“Memories are what give you strength after you’ve lost someone close to you. By attending and participating in the auction and draws, you make it possible for loved ones at hospice to create lasting memories and to just be that, loved ones.”
In its seventh year, the gala has raised more than $445,000 for care planning, residential hospice care, and grievance and bereavement support in Chatham-Kent, with Victory Lincoln serving as title sponsor for since the event’s inception.
Approximately 80 tickets are left, at a cost of $200 a person, including a $50 tax receipt. Purchase by calling 519-354-3113 ext. 2300, or visiting www.ckhospicegala.com. Additional fees apply for online purchases.
