“Lill-Fimpen” hero for the NHL crisis team last night – broke the nightmare sequence with the decisive goal

Twelfth time liked. Then it was finally a victory for San Jose in the NHL. Philadelphia was defeated 2–1 on home ice and a Swede was responsible for the decision.

San Jose has had a lousy start to the season to say the least. Before the meeting with Philadelphia, the team had managed only one point in the first eleven rounds. The losing streak was tied for the third-worst in NHL history, tied with how badly the club fared in the 1992–93 season.

But in the meeting with Philadelphia, the home fans finally got to celebrate a victory. San Jose took the lead in the first period through Anthony Duclair before William Eklund could add to the match-deciding 2–0 in the second.

Philadelphia quickly reduced it after that, but there were no more goals. Big match hero for San Jose was the goalkeeper Mackenzie Blackwood who blocked 38 of Philadelphia’s completions.

Victory for the Rangers

In the meeting between New York Rangers and Detroit, Rangers Gustafsson suited the first two goals and Zibanejad the third. The Rangers managed to score a full five goals before Detroit started to wake up, with three reduction goals within six minutes in the third period.

But then it was no more and Gustafsson, who came to New York this summer as a free agent and signed for a year, has so far managed eight points in twelve games played. Gustafsson is listed as one of three outstanding players in the match by the league’s website nhl.com.

Eriksson Ek assist

Minnesota’s center Joel Eriksson Oak passed after just 19 seconds ahead Pat Maroon to the lead goal, the fastest so far in the NHL this season, against the New York Islanders.
– “Ekky” made an incomparable pass and then it sat in the back of the net. That’s how we’re going to play, says Maroon after the game to the league’s website.

Eriksson Ek then himself scored the winning goal for his team when the New York Islanders, despite being at home, were defeated 4–2. Eriksson Ek also got a place among the match’s three best players.
