like Sony Microsoft releases Xbox collector faceplates

It may well be that Microsoft has found the idea of PS5 faceplates interesting and has decided to duplicate the concept for its Xbox Series X. Indeed, the manufacturer has just announced the arrival of wraps, a kind of plastic envelope which allows the machine to be dressed in the colors of a particular game. The first which is also unveiled is none other than Starfield, whose release date is scheduled for September 6th. However, before getting your hands on these “wraps”, you will have to wait until October 18, the date of marketing of these new accessories. Sold for $49.99 (the French price has not yet been set), these skins are not stickers to stick on the console, but offer a system that attaches to an Xbox Series X using Velcro. The Starfield plastic wrap features panels that resemble the Xbox Starfield Limited Edition Controller and according to Monique Chatterjee, Senior Design Director at Xbox, “The console’s major internal components are highlighted through an access panel and game-inspired graphics.”

In addition to this Starfield wrap, Microsoft will also be selling two camouflage patterns starting November 10, priced at $44.99 each, gray option or a blue “mineral” version, both of which match existing Arctic and Mineral Camo controllers. . This marks the first time Microsoft has offered custom skins for an Xbox console after the Xbox maker allowed owners of Xbox 360 consoles to remove the faceplate and customize their consoles. But these new wraps mean you don’t have to buy a limited-edition console to get an official custom look, which will save some money for some.
