French world champion defender Adil Rami has extended his contract with Troyes (L1) by one year, the Champagne club announced on Friday July 8 in a press release. “I am very happy to continue the adventure at Estac, after having contributed to obtaining historic support for the club last season. I am proud to continue to share my values and my experience within the club and I feel ready to take up the challenges that await me”, explains the 36-year-old central defender. The former Lille and Marseille player arrived in Troyes last summer to relaunch in the French championship. He had played 17 league games and scored 3 goals during a season during which he was injured several times. Troyes will begin its second consecutive exercise in the elite on the lawn of Montpellier, next Sunday August 7 (3:00 p.m.).
