Bakers throughout the Netherlands are joining the action of the Amersfoort Vicky Littlejohn. She is the owner of a bakery in Vathorst and wants to use the candle campaign to make it clear that the survival of her and many other bakeries is uncertain due to the rising energy prices. The Energy Cost Allowance Scheme made available by the government to help SMEs is not a solution for bakers.
