A cargo ship from South America dumped narcotics in Öresund on two occasions, writes South Sweden. In September 2020, 69 kilos of cocaine were thrown overboard to be picked up by cronies in a pleasure boat. But the weather was bad and the narcotics floated ashore and were found by Customs staff.
In November of the same year, 118 kilos of cocaine were dumped from the ship. The narcotics were picked up in a rented motorboat by a 54-year-old from the Stockholm area. He transported the cocaine to the port of Ålabodarna, which is located between Helsingborg and Landskrona.
Now the man is sentenced to seven years in prison for particularly serious drug offences. He is considered to have had a subordinate role in the league without insight into the underlying organization.
A 31-year-old Swede who lives in Spain is sentenced to nine years in prison for particularly serious drug offences. The court believes that he had a prominent role in the planning and coordination of the first smuggling batch. However, he is not considered to have belonged to the drug league’s top tier.
