It was in December 2016 that a 42-year-old man was shot to death in an apartment on Skallbergsgatan in Västerås. The district court then wrote in its judgment that it was a “regular execution” and that there was also a considerable danger that the man’s child could have died. The man who shot was a seasoned shooter, writes The evening paper.
In early 2019, the shooter, a 36-year-old man, was convicted of murder and of aggravated drug and firearms offenses. The district court then determined a life sentence for the murder of the 42-year-old man.
The man’s widow, who was convicted in the district court of aiding and abetting murder, was also acquitted by the Court of Appeal.
The man has misbehaved in prison 23 times
Now the life sentence, today 39-year-old man, wants to get leave to eat hamburgers and shop. However, the man has been refused because the correctional officers believe that the risk of him escaping or being acquitted is high, reports say P4 Västmanland.
In addition, the man has misbehaved in prison 23 times, writes the Prison Service in the rejection. Among other things, he has used violence and threats against staff and another prisoner.
In his application for air leave, the 39-year-old man wrote that he wanted to: “buy shoes, socks, newspapers, vitamins, water bottles, skin and hair care products and eat hamburgers.”
