These are villages where the outside world has little experience: the 34 penitentiaries in the Netherlands where a total of around 10,000 detainees are serving their sentences. Our province has two large prisons in Nieuwegein and Nieuwersluis. Of course, these people are there for a reason, but they still have rights. What is allowed and what is not?
