The 28-year-old man wanted a rental apartment in Helsingborg and turned to the regional housing queue Boplats syd, says Hem & Hyra.

He submitted an employment certificate from a larger company, but the housing queue manager reacted because the salary was too low in relation to the rent. This was pointed out to the man, who then submitted another employment certificate. But when checking with the stated employer, it turned out that the man was no longer employed there and that the numbers in the certificate had been manipulated.

He was reported to the police and confessed in the district court. Now the 28-year-old is sentenced to daily fines equivalent to SEK 3,000 for using a false document.

Boplats syd has made 15 police reports about suspected cheating this year and last year about twenty were made. This is the third verdict based on these reports.
