Lidls new move pledge the mobile and earn up

In the fall of 2023, Ica acquired pawn stations that enabled customers to hand in their old mobile phone to earn a pick.

Now yet another chain of stores has acquired deposit stations for its stores, namely Lidl.

The German discount giant has now started displaying them in two of its stores. In another email News24 writes Lidl’s press manager Nahir Aslan which stores come first.

“Swappie has placed its machines in two of our stores. One in our store at Östermalmstorg in Stockholm and the other in our store in Nordstan in Gothenburg,” he writes.

Are you planning to get a new phone and at the same time make a profit on your old one? The mobile company Swappie, which owns the pawn stations, explains how the scheme works.

– The service is 100 percent free, regardless of whether you just choose to value your phone or sell it via the kiosk, says the company’s communicator Jenny Johansson to Nyheter24.

How much can you earn by pawning your old phone?

According to Johansson, it turns out to be a great deal if it meets all the criteria and is a newer model.

– The maximum amount always depends on the mobile’s model, memory capacity and its actual condition. For some of the newest models, we pay around SEK 11,000-12,000 today.
