ALERT. Since January 2, the famous Lidl sneakers are back in stores. The good news ? They include water-based polyurethane to ensure more sustainable production.

They made their return to the store on January 2, 2022. Who? Lidl sneakers, of course! It was surprise card of the year 2020 with 69,000 pairs sold in a few hours in France. Back in 2021, with 80,000 pairs quickly sold out, these famous sneakers then asserted their status as a fashion hit. It must be said that 12.99 euros per pair, they have something to please. These chunky-soled sneakers are part of the trend of ugly shoes which has been raging for a few seasons, as evidenced by the success of the Crocs. For 2022, Lidl sneakers, still in the colors of the German discounter (yellow, blue and red) is adorned this time with eco-responsible features. They include in particular water-based polyurethane, a material that allows the brand to register in a more sustainable approach.

How to wear Lidl sneakers?

To support the release of these sneakers, sold 12.99 euros since Sunday January 2, 2022 in a large number of Lidl stores in France, the discounter imagined a collection of cozy clothes. From leggings with tricolor bands (sold 5.99 euros), but also hoodies and joggers coordinates printed with the Lidl logo (11.99 euros each). All certified Oeko-Tex, a label that assures consumers that the finished product is free from toxic substances, and Cotton made in Africa, an international standard for developing sustainable African cotton.

So to wear Lidl sneakers, two options are essential. the total sportswear look, tracksuit and sneakers signed by the German brand. Or, sported tennis shoes look like nothing with vintage-inspired mom jeans. All that’s missing is a printed sweatshirt and a colorful puffer jacket to be right in the tones of the season.
