Sold at a price 3 to 4 times cheaper than some competing robots, everyone is snapping it up. To find out when it goes on sale and never miss the opportunity to buy this famous robot, subscribe to the Lidl newsletter. You will be informed of his return. Where and when to buy it at the end of August? At what price ? What features? We tell you everything.
While Lidl released a new version of its famous kitchen robot, the Monsieur Cuisine Smart, it is selling the old version, the Monsieur Cuisine Edition Plus, on sale. You will be able to get this version in the brand’s stores from August 25, 2022.
Formerly sold at a price of 229 euros, Lidl is lowering the price of this all-purpose robot and will sell the Monsieur Cuisine Edition Plus from August 25 at a minimum price of 179 euros. A good deal for all those who are not yet equipped with a food processor. At this price, it will snap up like hot cakes. A great gift for the start of the school year!
The hard-discount brand praises the merits of its food processor, and in particular the multitude of features that come with it. On the cooking and cooking side, it has many functions such as cooking, chopping, emulsifying, mixing, weighing, browning, mixing and kneading, pureeing or even steaming, and has 10 speeds + 1 turbo function, safety lock , integrated scale, automatic programs, power up to 1200 W, adjustable temperature from 37° to 130°, timer up to 90 minutes, mixing bowl capacity of 2.2 L, rotation speed up to 5000 rpm. Many accessories are sold with the food processor: beater, knife, spatula, cooking basket, removable mixing bowl, etc.
The famous robot made its big comeback on June 6, 2022 in Lidl France supermarkets, while stocks last.. It is already sold out in many stores. Like every year, the brand may put its food processor back on sale before the end of the year holidays, but for the moment, no date has been communicated. For consumers who do not want to miss new sales, Lidl promises to warn of the arrival of the robot in his newsletter. If you are one of those who have not been able to obtain the multifunction robot and you do not want to wait for the next sale, individuals are reselling the latest version of Monsieur Cuisine on sites like Leboncoin. When the robot was released, the prices displayed on these sites were exorbitant and, in general, resellers aware of the success of the product increase the price.
The Monsieur Cuisine Smart robot is marketed only in Lidl stores, i.e. in more than 1,500 points of sale, and it is mandatory to go to one of the shops since the robot cannot be ordered online. When it is available, you have to act quickly to get a device because the brand has a habit of ordering its products in limited quantities. If the period of time to equip yourself with the robot is often very short, putting the product on the shelves remains the best opportunity to equip yourself with it. Once the stocks are exhausted, the resale sites, such as Leboncoin or Rakuten, are the only places to find robots, but the prices there are much less attractive. Older versions of the robot, in particular the Monsieur Cuisine Connect can also be found on the internet.
The purchase price is one of the main selling points of Le Monsieur Cuisine. For capacities equivalent or almost to the famous Thermomix, the robot signed Lidl is sold between three and five times cheaper. Displayed at €429, the Monsieur Cuisine Smart is the most accessible kitchen robot on the market, despite the slight increase in price compared to previous versions of the robot sold for €359, an increase which is explained by the addition of several functionalities as much on the cooking modes as on the use of the device. But good news, you can benefit from a discount of 30 euros on your Monsieur Cuisine Smart with the Lidl + app. It’s time to download it! The robot will then cost you 399 euros.
The release of Lidl’s new kitchen robot represents a rare opportunity for cooking enthusiasts to equip themselves with a multifunction cooking appliance at a low price provided they can buy it on Lidl’s shelves in time. The device available in limited quantities is, only a few days after its release, the object of resale at much higher prices: between 100€ more expensive and up to 1000€. On this subject, the marketing director of Lidl, Michel Bernio, called on consumers to remain reasonable in an interview with BFM Business beginning of December 2021: “I invite all consumers not to buy Monsieur Cuisine Smart at 800 euros on the internet, it’s a scam”.
What makes Monsieur Cuisine Smart such a success? The armada of features it offers is undoubtedly one of the main selling points, especially when you consider the price of the robot. It’s very simple, if Monsieur Cuisine Connect was already doing a lot of things, tell yourself that the Smart version is even more complete: it cooks, browns, steams, kneads, mixes, stirs, chops, slices, grinds , puree, emulsify and now ferment and simmer, cook eggs, boil water, make smoothies and cook sous vide, none of that! In addition to presenting new cooking modes, the robot has gained power with its 1000 W and reduced the gap with the 1500 W of the Thermomix. The new version of multifunction robot is also intended to be more connected than its predecessors, in fact the digital interface of the robot has widened the range of its functionalities. The Monsieur Cuisine Smart plays the role of a real assistant by giving access to hundreds and hundreds of recipes and to explanatory videos which detail, step by step, each recipe. The robot can also help create shopping lists, make personalized recipe suggestions, improve the criteria for filtering recipes according to your tastes – and other criteria – and it is also possible to provide weekly meal planning, all on an 8-inch screen for optimal comfort.
All these features are added to the capabilities presented by the Monsieur Cuisine Connect, understand that the 10 speeds, the turbo, the temperature adjustment option, the timer, the Cooking-Pilot and everything else are also found in the new SilverCrest connected robot. As for the accessories, the integrated scale, the knife, the beater, the internal cooking basket, the external steaming basket and the spatula still answer the call.
Where can I find the recipes for the Monsieur Cuisine Smart robot?
Like the Monsieur Cuisine Connect before it, the Smart model of the robot is equipped with the Cooking-Pilot, a catalog of more than 600 preloaded recipes with detailed step-by-step instructions. What’s more, the wifi function of the device allows you to receive about fifteen new recipes for free every month. If despite this, you find that you have done the trick and are looking for creativity, recipe books are entirely dedicated to Monsieur Cuisine.
Is there a microphone in the Monsieur Cuisine Smart?
Despite what the commercial that presents the Monsieur Cuisine Smart may suggest, the robot does not contain any microphone. If the voice command is a novelty and a strong argument for voting the product, it is only made possible by connecting an additional device. “It is necessary to have a Google Home to make the communication interface with the Mr. Connect Smart”, explained the brand to Numerama in November 2021. This detail is certainly explained by the controversy of which Monsieur Cuisine Connect had been the victim when it was released. The previous version of the Lidl robot had bad publicity after customers noticed the presence of a microphone in the household appliance, a microphone that was not mentioned in the instructions. Asked about this controversial point by the media, the brand had justified having tried to integrate a voice command system into the robot. After the company changed its mind for technical reasons, Lidl’s purchasing director told the Digital in June 2019: “However, we have decided to leave the loudspeaker and the microphone to be able to activate the voice command in a future version via an update”. In the end, another solution was chosen.
What is the Mini Monsieur Cuisine Smart?
The Monsieur Cuisine Smart is not the only surprise Lidl has in store for the end of 2021. After the undeniable success of the latest version of the robot, the Monsieur Cuisine Smart, the German brand announced that the release of the model reduction of the appliance, the Mini Monsieur Cuisine, for December 16. The little robot looks exactly like its big brother except that it is smaller and its price is much lower: €34.99. The device has the same options as the original robot but it is designed for children from three years old, hence its small size. The product allows the youngest to get their hands dirty too thanks to a multifunction robot that has the same capabilities as the original model. The advantage of the robot is undoubtedly its price, more than ten times cheaper than the Monsieur Cuisine Smart, but even at this price, the mini robot is sold with accessories – a spatula, a measuring cup, a mixing bowl plus a plastic blade – and a recipe book that will delight the taste buds of young and old alike. After the stocks run out, the robot is only found on resale sites, a few copies are sold by individuals but the prices are higher and the brand has not announced the arrival of new stocks soon.
