News24 has previously written about Lidl and their clothing collections, which they release at regular intervals. Now the time has come again for the food giant to launch a clothing collection.

But this time it is not a collection in Lidl’s signature colours, but a kind of sports collection in basic colors such as grey, black and blue.

Lidl will, among other things, sell hoodies, sweatpants and functional tights. But what makes this collection extra special is what the clothes are made of.

The collection that Lidl releases is made from coffee grounds.

“Coffee grounds in clothes may sound special – but the fact is that with the help of the coffee grounds, the clothes have a natural odor- and moisture-inhibiting effect and protect from UV radiation,” writes the PR Specialist Ebba Rosenberg in an email to Nyheter24.

According to Lidl’s brochure, the collection will be available for purchase in stores from 8 February.
