License Check is a new platform allowing employers to check the validity of their employees’ driving licenses. A way to hold companies accountable and detect false declarations.
The Government is determined to continue its strategy of digitizing the administrative services of the French State, and more particularly everything relating to driving. Between France Identity, the arrival of the digital driving license and MesPointsPermis – which allows, as its name suggests, to consult one’s balance – the procedures for motorists are gradually becoming simpler. And it continues ! On May 6, the French Ministry of the Interior launched a new digital platform called License Check. License Check: a driving license verification tool

In addition, the platform only works for French driving licenses and in the professional context. Note that, at the end of the employment contract, the employer must inform the employee of their right to obtain a certificate of deletion, guaranteeing that their driving license can no longer be consulted by their previous employer.

Because yes, the platform is not free. You must subscribe to an annual subscription of 40 euros excluding tax or purchase consultation tokens (0.95 euros excluding tax per token) for companies with more than 50 employed drivers. For those with fewer than 50 employee drivers, the annual subscription entitles you to only one hundred consultations, any excess requiring the purchase of additional tokens. But there is no doubt that Vérif Permis should meet with some success, given that an accident involving an employee without a license can have serious consequences, whether for drivers or for companies…
