UN experts this week condemned the Libyan government’s policy of preventing women from traveling abroad without being accompanied by a man. The measure was enacted about three months ago almost on the sly by the government of Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, based in Tripoli and which shares power with a parallel government, based in eastern Libya.
