Over 30 local associations within the Liberals want to poke Björn Söder (SD) from his prestigious position in the Riksdag, reports Aftonbladet.

34 local associations among the Liberals have come together and are now demanding that the party works for SD’s Björn Söder to resign as chairman of the Swedish delegation in the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe).

The reason is Söder’s criticized statement about Pride on the platform X.
“I will never defend Pride and its close – and now legitimate – connections to pedophilia and the involvement of children in the sexual world of adults,” he wrote at the time.
The former party leader calls for action
The Liberals’ former party leader Maria Leissner, now a regional politician in Stockholm, stands behind the demand for the leadership to act.
– There it is clear what the OSCE stands for when it comes to LGBTQi issues. Those who are part of the delegation must respect the guidelines for it. If you actively undermine the principles behind the OSCE, it is difficult to lead the delegation. Therefore, we call on the party to act, she tells the newspaper.
