Liane Weschke says that she pays close to SEK 4,000 to live in the nursing home in Fjärås every month. For that sum, she believes that the food should be better than semi-finished products and small portions.
But it’s not just the food that’s lagging, she says. There is also a lack of activities for the elderly, which increases sedentary behavior and fatigue.
The politician: Most people like the food
Fredrik Hansson (C), municipal councilor and chairman of the committee for service, is responsible for the municipality’s meal operations and he is aware of Liane Weschke’s criticism. However, his view is that the majority of residents are satisfied with the food.
