LHC fans are punished after mocking Stefan Liv

The two supporters receive the maximum penalty of two years suspension from all ice hockey in the SHL, something like Jönköpings-Posten be the first to tell.

In connection with the match, the fans allegedly showed pictures on their mobile phones at Liv in an attempt to mock the HV fans and the punishments that could be applied according to the hockey association’s principles were suspension for 18 or 24 months. And the latter became relevant in this case.

“Repentant”

According to JP’s interview with LHC’s club director Carl-Johan Stålhammar, LHC must have had a verbal meeting with the supporters who must have been very remorseful.

HV goalkeeper Stefan Liv died in a plane crash in 2011 and has since been an icon within the club.
