Leusden is struggling but still seems to agree with wind
The province of Utrecht has designated dozens of places where wind turbines can be located. They must be able to generate a lot of sustainable electricity by 2030. In response, Amersfoort, Baarn, Bunschoten, Eemnes, Leusden, Soest and Woudenberg have drawn up a different plan together, with five wind locations, nine solar fields and three power stations. In that joint counter-offer, wind turbines along the A28 would generate almost a quarter of all electricity. There is one now letter to the province for which the seven aldermen ask the permission of their municipal council.
