It’s a bunch of nervous celebrities taking their place in the Master Chef’s kitchen this year. And it will be up to proof immediately – in the “mystery boxes” everyone gets their favorite ingredients. It’s time to shine! — You must prepare a dish that blows us off our seats. I’ll hold onto my hat, says new jury member Marcus Samuelsson. This year’s starting field in Sweden’s master chef VIP consists of Ann Wilson, Emma Green, Carin Da Silva, Lars “Lasseman” Larsson, Simon Sköld, Mons Kallentoft, Filip Dikmen and Gladys del Pilar. Marcus Samuelsson new to the jury In the first competition, the participants’ skills are tested in terms of technique, finesse and taste. They compete in pairs and it will be Emma Green and Filip Dikmen who win. The win consists of five extra minutes in the main competition, where the participants must prepare their very best “bragging rights”. Therefore, they get their favorite ingredients in the “mystery boxes” that are placed in front of them. Performance anxiety and time pressure put a damper on the participants’ wheels. — When the competition kicks off, something happens to the brain, you get – or I get – confused, says Gladys del Pilar. But it’s not just the participants who are new for the season, one of the judges is also new: star chef Marcus Samuelsson. He is greeted by the other jury members Tom Sjöstedt and Mischa Billing. Ann Wilson impresses the most And the roles are reversed for Ann Wilson, who usually sits on the Let’s Dance judging panel and judges celebrities who learn the ten dance. Now it is she who is judged by another jury. — I am beginning to understand how the participants in Let’s Dance feel, she says and admits that it is nervous to go forward with your right to the jury. But she has nothing to worry about – the jury’s Tom Sjöstedt has only praise to offer: – Nobody can cook turkey well – except you, Ann! It is absolutely fantastic! Ann Wilson is crowned the premiere program’s best cook, but all the contestants actually excel. — This is the third year we have done this program and this is the strongest start so far.
