A 25-year-old man let his dogs pee and poop indoors and locked the dogs out on the balcony when he wasn’t home. Now the landlord wants to throw the man out, reports Hem & Hyra.

At the beginning of 2023, the police were alerted to a rental property in Malmö. In connection with the crackdown, the landlord’s two dogs were discovered to have relieved themselves indoors. He was given the chance to clean up, which he did, according to police.

During the following summer, the landlord became aware that the dogs had been left on the apartment’s balcony repeatedly and that dog urine had flowed onto the neighbor’s balcony.

When the tenant confirmed that he had left his dogs on the balcony, the landlord had enough and sent both a notice and an inspector to the apartment.

The man does not want to move and now the tenancy board must decide the case.

The landlord’s inspection showed extensive urine damage on two balconies: “Perceptible smell of urine” and “ceiling penetrations and leaks”, the inspection report states.
