The European Championships in Athletics start in the Italian capital, Rome, on Friday. The cleanliness of the grandstands of the main stage of the competitions, i.e. the Olympic Stadium in Rome, is still noticeable less than a day before the competition audience arrives.
The reporter of Urheilu, who is on the spot at the competition venue by Laura Arffman the pictures and videos taken on Thursday show how, for example, paper is lying on the floors and edges of empty toilets. According to Arffman, the smell in the place is horrible and the nauseating smell wafts up to the corridors.
