The measures are mainly aimed at bachelor’s degrees. Currently, 30 percent of them are English-speaking. “We want to significantly reduce that share,” Anton Pijpers, chairman of the Executive Board of Utrecht University, told NOS. Pijpers was involved in the development of the plan. “We have not agreed on any concrete goals, but we think that these measures will eventually mean that around 10 to 15 percent of the courses will only be offered in English.”
