Among the unusual absentees this year, Jeff Panacloc was unable to attend the Enfoirés concert in Montpellier this year. The comedian-ventriloquist who nevertheless came regularly to the shows of the troupe did not have the opportunity to lend him a hand in 2022 because he was struck by the coronavirus. The comedian, always present to entertain the public, tested positive and had to remain confined to his hotel room. Why isn’t Mimie Mathy at Les Enfoirés this year?

The first major absentee from this Enfoirés 2022 concert, the public could not come this year to attend the 6 performances of the charity show given each year to support the Restos du Coeur. It is quite simply a decision taken by the public authorities in view of the health situation in early January in France, when the Omicron variant of Covid-19 was at extremely high levels of transmission. This decision thus deprives the Restos du Coeur of a large part of its income linked to the show since certain tickets had to be reimbursed. Some spectators simply decided to maintain their reservation, aware that the money generated by their ticket would greatly help the association. This is the second time that the Enfoirés concert has taken place without an audience, after a year 2021 also marked by a recording without spectators other than the association’s volunteers.
The appointment is now traditional: the Enfoirés record their concert in January for a broadcast in March on TF1. This year, Friday March 4 was chosen to broadcast the Enfoirés 2022 concert, entitled for the occasion Un air d’Enfoirés. Unfortunately, the sanitary conditions were not met at the time of the recording in Montpellier to welcome spectators. The performances, however, went well in the South room of France Arena from January 20 to 24 but without an audience. People who booked a ticket had until January 31 to request their reimbursement or choose to sell them to contribute to the financing of the social missions of the Restos du Cœur.

The Enfoirés 2022 anthem is called “There will always be a date”. The song was written by Jacques Veneruso, singer-songwriter who had the opportunity to work with many big names in song including Johnny Hallyday, Céline Dion, Michael Jones, Garou, Florent Pagny, Patrick Fiori or Michel Sardo.
In the logic of the Restos du Cœur, the Enfoirés show is never available for replay on the TF1 site. Indeed, the association seeks to sell as many DVDs and CDs as possible the day after the broadcast. The goal is to raise as much money as possible to help the most disadvantaged, it would be illogical to offer the concert in free replay. Viewers who want to watch the program again will have to put their hands in their wallets.
The CDs and DVDs of the Les Enfoirés concert are on sale everywhere in France, in stores and on the internet. Each sale allows the Restos du Cœur to distribute 17 meals to those in need. TF1 does not offer a replay of the Enfoirés concert for a simple reason: it would probably lower income from CD and DVD sales for Restos du Cœur.
