Creating an academy far from academicism is the idea behind Les Chants d’Ulysse. This international academy mixes arts, sciences and sport. French soprano Patricia Petibon and Franco-Swiss flutist, oboist and conductor Héloïse Gaillard have just launched her first edition, which takes place in the Pays de la Loire, some 300 km south-west of Paris, between the Dôme de Saumur and the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, the largest monastic city in Europe dating back almost 1000 years.
