Tre Kronor fell to the USA in the group final with 3-4.
But the great talent Leo Carlsson impressed again with two goals.
And now the 18-year-old is on the same level as Jaromir Jagr himself.
Just a month ago made the giant promise Leo Carlson debut in Tre Kronor after a big breakthrough in the SHL during the season. The 18-year-old impressed right from the start in the A national team jersey and he was painted as a potential WC joker.

After great efforts in the training matches, the teenager managed to take a sensational place in the Tre Kronor squad for the hockey World Cup ahead of many other more established names. Carlsson is also not in the WC to watch and learn, but has shown right from the start that he is here to deliver straight away.

Equal to Jagr
Unfortunately, Sweden fell in extra time against the USA and thus missed out on the group victory, but after the match, the young Örebro player was highly praised.
– From the time we brought him into the national team before the WC, he has shown that he really wants to play. He takes the initiative and then it is very fun to see him. It’s nice to see a guy who doesn’t think too much, says Tre Kronor’s union captain Sam Hallam in SVT.
