In mid-April, Mikael Westin (C) announced that he would temporarily leave politics due to illness. A month later, it became clear that he was resigning from all his assignments completely.
During Tuesday, an extra municipal council was therefore held in Ragunda municipality, where Lennart Raswill (C) was elected as a new municipal councillor. The governing parties were supported by SD and thus won the vote with 14 votes against the opposition’s (S and V) 11 votes. They had instead wanted to see Anton Hammar (S) take over the post.
