Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Leksand came to Sunday’s match in the SDHL with two straight victories, 2–4 against HV71 and most recently 3–2 against SDE. AIK, in turn, had a win in the last five matches.

The home team broke the deadlock already after two minutes when Lisa Östman made it 1-0. A minute later, Ella Albinsson made it 2–0.

But a quick reduction would come.

Just over five minutes into the first period, AIK’s Vilma Nilsson scored 1–2, played by Emma Eriksson.

In the middle period, the teams took turns burning one goal chance after the other and after 40 minutes of play the score was 2-1 to the home team Leksand.

“We have momentum, but it’s important that we put our goals there,” says the 18-year-old LIF defender Tuva Kandell in C More.

Leksand had control over the match picture and about halfway into the third period also came 3–1 and 4–1, which was also the final result.

With the victory, Leksand climbs up to sixth place in the SDHL table with 18 points in 18 games. AIK, who have played one game less, are second last with eleven points.
