Leif Silbersky fell asleep peacefully surrounded by his immediate family; wife Rita, children Eva and Thomas and grandchildren.
He was born in Malmö in 1938 and spent a large part of his professional life as a lawyer. In 1969 he started his own agency.
He worked on many criminal cases that received media attention and often spoke as a legal expert in the media. Among other things, he had assignments at the trial after the discotheque fire in Gothenburg, Trustorhärvan and was lawyer for Hagamannen Niklas Lindgren, Anders Eklund, Anna Sjödin, Toni Alldén and Johan af Donner.
“Through his long and successful career, he became a champion of individual rights and a voice for those who often stood alone against the system,” the family writes in a statement to TT.
Leif Silbersky also wrote a series of novels, most of them about the lawyer Rosenbaum.
Bodström: “Always kind”
Fellow lawyer and former Minister of Justice Thomas Bodström worked several times together with Leif Silbersky.
– I have strong memories and many strong goals together with him. He was always friendly to us younger lawyers, says Thomas Bodström to TV4 Nyheterna.
The family announces that the funeral will take place in the circle of the closest mourners, TT reports.
Leif Silbersky was 86 years old.
