Leif Boork is forced to eat every word after the criticism against Zecira Musovic – everyone is now talking about this year’s miss of the hockey profile

Talk about being completely wrong…
Hockey profiler Leif Boork was clearly critical of Zecira Musovic.
Then he had to eat up every word after the Swede’s big game.

Sweden is through to the quarter-finals of the World Cup after a huge drama against the USA on Sunday morning. After 120 goalless minutes, everything was decided with an incredibly exciting and nerve-wracking penalty shootout.

Musovic hero

Where Blågult was the best at keeping their nerves in check and defeating the USA by just a few millimeters after a VAR assessment on the last penalty of Lina Hurtig. The big hero of the match was still the national team goalkeeper Zecira Musovic who played great in the goal and saved Sweden several times over.

Musovic also broke a new record for the most number of saves in a World Cup match for a goalkeeper who keeps a clean sheet. Then she stopped as many as 11 shots from the Americans in an absolutely fantastic effort between the posts.

Boork’s criticism

But after the game, everyone is now talking about the hockey profile Leif Boorks words before when he stood for the year’s miss in Swedish sports. The veteran coach, who is nationally known for his many outings, took to Twitter just four (!) minutes before the start of the match and directed clear criticism at Musovic in particular.
“The biggest question mark for me in the Swedish national team today is Musovic in the goal!?”, wrote Boork on social media.

120 minutes later, he really had to eat his own when the Swede put in a huge effort and was Sweden’s best player on the pitch. Many then went hard on Leif Boork and his scouting which really did not match at all.
“Lucky you were the national team captain in ice hockey and not football…”, writes a user on Twitter.
“That tweet didn’t age well,” wrote another.
“Thanks for a good laugh,” writes a third.

The hockey profile then had to swallow every single critical word about Musovic after the match.
“What a fantastic drama. The USA goalkeeper makes a half-save but it still goes in. Musovic a breakthrough internationally. Big congratulations Sweden!”, wrote Boork immediately after the decisive penalty.
