Leif Boork is forced to apologize to Daniel Ståhl – after unexpected words before the WC gold: “I lie flat”

What an incredible sporting performance by Daniel Ståhl.
Now the hockey profile Leif Boork is forced to apologize.
After his famous words on social media just before the WC gold.

There was really maximum excitement during the discus final on Monday night. First of all, it was a historically good discus final when four throwers cleared 68 meters, it has never happened before in a major championship.

Ståhl’s WC gold

But the ending was gut-wrenching for everyone involved. The Swedish golden leap Daniel Ståhl had the lead for a long time but got to see the big rival Christian Ceh throw away over 70 meters and take over the lead with his final throw.

Only Ståhl was left with a final throw that would decide whether it would be silver or gold. Even before the decision, outspoken had the hockey profile Leif Bork questioned the Swede’s psyche.
“I have a small mental question mark for Ståhl in the discus. For a medal? No, he has to make it! But the gold? The silver?”, he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Leif Boork’s words

But just like Boork questioned the goalkeeper Zecira Musovic before the World Cup match of her life against the USA, the coaching veteran would have to eat her words properly this time as well. Because the very Swede stepped forward and showed nerves of standing in the most vulnerable position.

Ståhl sent the discus away with enormous power and precision to reach a mighty 71.46 meters. Not only was it the WC gold, but also a new championship record and Boork was forced to apologize immediately.
“Daniel Ståhl I lie flat. In the final round! In that situation! It’s feat status! I will never, ever speak again about you and your discus throwing! Superb! Superb! Bragdguldet?”, he writes on X.
