Leif Boork has opinions about a lot.
And he is absolutely sure what he really thinks about Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
– When he buys into Hammarby, I almost stop cheering for them, Boork has said.
Leif Boork is one of Sweden’s most meritorious hockey coaches, but nowadays he is perhaps best known as a Twitter profile. Boork has opinions about most things, doesn’t agree with any of his opinions, and it doesn’t happen infrequently that he ends up in the hood of various people.
Honest words about Zlatan
Boork is an opinion machine, and always has been, even during the years he was a coach in the SHL or at another high level. One that Boork has had a lot to say about over the years is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Boork has on numerous occasions expressed himself strongly critical of Ibrahimovic, and once he has been asked about it, Boork continues on the same theme – by being completely honest.
A few years ago, when Aftonbladet interviewed Boork about his activity on Twitter, and his strong opinions about just about anything, Boork didn’t hold back.
– I really hope I don’t have that kind of self-confidence. His whole attitude is so damn cocky. Cocky in a way so he looks down on his surroundings, I don’t like that, Boork said.

“Stop cheering them on”
Boork had previously written on Twitter that he did not think Zlatan’s statue should stand “anywhere”. It became extra problematic when Zlatan stepped in as a co-owner of Boork’s favorite club Hammarby.
– Hammarby’s sports ideology is in such a damn contrast to what I feel Zlatan stands for and the way he behaves. When he buys into Hammarby, I almost stop cheering for them – in football anyway.
Leif Boork is clear that he and Zlatan probably don’t have much in common. He even goes so far as to call Zlatan “his opposite”.
– Yes… I read that he has 18 cars in some garage and so on. He may not be the only one, but it’s as far from my values as you can get.
