The solution came when Rangers rolled the upper hand, but Cale Makar got out of the ice rink, grabbed the puck and passed it to Lehkonen.
Switched to the Colorado jersey in the middle of the season Juuso Pärssinen scored his second goal in an Avalanche jersey. Pärsinen took Colorado to a 4–2 lead in the second set. The hit was the fourth of the season for Pärssinen, who played in Nashville at the beginning of the season. Rangers Urho Vaakanainen got one assist.
Those who moved to Colorado in the giant store were also well represented in the match Jack Drury and Martin Necas. In their first game with their new club, they failed to score, but now Drury took the Avalanche to a 1–0 lead. In Carolina, Drury scored only three goals this season. Necas, on the other hand, grabbed two assist points.
Mikko Rantanen moved in the same trade from Colorado to Carolina, where Drury and NecassiMoved in the other direction. Rantanen was left without power points in his opening game in the Hurricanes.
Colorado led after two sets 4–3. Artemi Panarin equalized five minutes before the end. Rangers were looking hard for the winning goal, but in the end Lehkonen struck.
