Legolas only says 3 (!) words to Frodo in 9 hours of Lord of the Rings and that’s enough

Legolas only says 3 words to Frodo in 9

In the course of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, a large ensemble of figures is built up, from which the most important characters develop deep relationships with one another. This also includes the hobbit Frodo (Elijah Wood) and the elf archer Legolas (Orlando Bloom).

Both meet directly once in the nine hours of the series, with Legolas (in the German dubbed version) only says three words to Frodo. Our international colleagues from SensaCine once again pointed out that no more were necessary.

There is only one set between Frodo and Legolas in the Lord of the Rings trilogy

In The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Frodo and Legolas meet at the Council of Elrond. As each character joins the companions and names their weapons to swear an oath and destroy the ring, Legolas looks Frodo straight in the eyes for the only time and says: “… And my bow.”

The bond that is formed between the two characters here is therefore more of a non-verbal nature and is still sufficient to establish the strong relationship for the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Relationship between Frodo and Legolas fuels hilarious Lord of the Rings theory

The brief moment of dialogue between Frodo and Legolas also plays a role in a Lord of the Rings theory where the hobbit is the is said to have forgotten the elf’s name. It’s about the moment in the finale when Frodo greets everyone at the bedside reunion. Here Legolas enters and Frodo looks at him without saying his name.
