After its successful release last March, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga offers a little more content with the arrival of a brand new DLC. We will explain everything to you.

Remember, it was 2005 and Lego Star Wars 1 and 2 were hitting the market to thunderous applause. The adaptation of George Lucas’ films in plastic brick sauce immediately met with great success, paving the way for many other adaptations from the studio of its developer TT Games. Since then, water has flowed under the bridge, and the British developer has once again returned to the Star Wars universe with a more than ambitious game, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, or the adaptation in Lego of the nine films of the famous franchise. And the title is in the process of offering a brand new DLC, dedicated to fans of the universe. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga DLCs
For those who already have their eyes set on the future of this more than recent release, know that TT Games and Warner Bros Games have already provided seven character packs at the beginning of May. You can find iconic characters from the extended Star Wars universe, including those from recent Disney + series like The Mandalorian, or spin-offs like Rogue One, Solo: A Star Wars Story and more. Lego video games have always been based on a fairly simple principle: making us relive the best scenes from pop culture films, characters or series, all in a universe built entirely of small plastic bricks. And in this exercise, TT Games is more than a veteran, already in command of the first two Lego games ever released, Lego Star Wars I and Lego Star Wars II. And for seventeen years, TT Games has been at the origin of all Lego games. Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings… All the biggest franchises have been recreated by the British studio, which can boast of presenting more than thirty Lego video games to its credit. The Skywalker Saga will allow us to relive the three Star Wars trilogies, from the muscular apprenticeship of Obi-Wan to the advent of the First Order, and this in the order you wish. On the gameplay side, we find the classic elements of the formula, which mixes exploration, action, adventure and puzzles, all playable with one or two players.
In terms of gameplay, the game offers you the possibility to browse the story of each film in the order you want, without any particular constraint. You will also have the opportunity to replay each level with new characters, to unlock new parts of the level and find collectables. If you were worried about not being able to play one of your favorite characters in the Skywalker Saga, you couldn’t be more wrong. The game contains no less than 300 unlockable and playable characters in all levels, as required by the tradition of Lego games. We will find our favorite protagonists at different times in their lives as well as all the more obscure secondary characters that forty years and nine films have been able to provide us with. Controller in hand, TT Games has also added a few elements to satisfy a slightly more adult audience. Blaster-wielding characters can now hide and shoot from cover, while lightsaber combat is done through different combos, feints and powers, bringing a little more diversity to the ultimately quite simple gameplay of the Lego games formula. . We also find in this new release graphics that have never been so beautiful in a Lego game; the environment reacts to the actions of the player, at the level of the effects of light as of matter. In addition, TT Games has decided to give the player a little more freedom by providing them with hubs that they can explore freely between each story mission. We are moving away for the best from the level after level formula to give the player the opportunity to move from planet to planet as he pleases via a map of the Galaxy to explore or re-explore levels he has already traveled in order to solve puzzles, complete side quests or search for items. This principle also applies in space where the player can move, explore and fight between each planet. On the character side, TT Games adds a little role-playing side since each character will have a small tree of skills and powers to unlock thanks to Kyber crystals hidden all over the galaxy.
Lego games have always been a strong proponent of two-player co-op play. Traditionally, this cooperation has been done through the traditional split screen, and The Skywalker Saga will be no exception. Concretely, if you can share a side of the sofa with a friend or a member of your family, it’s perfect, on the other hand, it is impossible to connect to the same game from two different places, since no online multiplayer mode is not planned for play currently on any platform.
