Legislative elections in France: the National Rally does not convince all the bosses

Legislative elections in France the National Rally does not convince

Less than ten days before the legislative elections in France, the leaders of the political parties presented their economic program to the bosses this Thursday, June 20. One of them was particularly anticipated: that of the party that came first in the European elections, the National Rally.

He receives at the headquarters of his company, in Monterault, in the Paris region. Dominique Lioret is a medical entrepreneur and National Rally voter: “ June 30, July 7, it’s Bardella, that’s clear. » A proposal from the RN appeals to this business manager who has one employee: exemption from social security contributions in the event of a 10% salary increase. “ If you give someone 1,000 euros, it costs you more than double. Today, the National gathering wants to encourage salary increases and that is a good thing. The reduction in VAT is also important. »

But all these promises come at a cost. Lowering VAT on energy would, for example, cost up to 12 billion euros, according to the RN. This Thursday, the employers’ unions therefore asked the parties to clarify their roadmap for the economy. And the president of Medef Patrick Martin expresses doubts about the program of the National Rally.

The same Jordan Bardella tells us: “We must increase production capacity”. And at the same time, he tells us: “We must call into question the pension reform”. And even if he has not spoken out again on this subject, we know that he wants to call into question the reform of unemployment insurance. The purpose of these two reforms is intended to increase the country’s production capacity. This is an inconsistency and there remains a lot of uncertainty », criticizes Patrick Martin.

And immigration

Another guideline remains, however, very clear in the RN program: slow down immigration In France. In the kitchen of this Parisian bistro, Alain Fontaine is at the head of an SME with 26 employees. Five of them are, as he says, from immigrant backgrounds.

Moussy is of Malian origin and he is an apprentice with me and we will hire him from July 4 “, assures the business manager. “ The reality is that if you want to maintain a level of production, you have to rely on regular immigration, argues the restaurateur. I take a stand for a policy that allows businesses to continue to develop. The French are ready to sign for a new future, but they are afraid. And we business leaders also have this fear because it’s worrying. »

Like French society, the promises of the National Rally appeal to entrepreneurs. According to an Ifop survey for the JDD, 31% of business leaders could vote for the RN on June 30.
