What are the symptoms of legionella?
Provided: most people who are infected with the legionella bacteria do not become ill. Some vulnerable groups (persons older than 60 years, smokers, people with poor health) do have a better chance. If you are infected, you can get pneumonia. It often starts with a cold, cough, fever and muscle aches. Headache, shortness of breath and drowsiness can also follow. The GGD advises that you contact your GP in the event of such complaints.
