Abba’s The Winner Takes It All plays Donald Trump’s at an election rally in St. Cloud, Minnesota, in late July, newspaper Svenska Dagbladet tells. Trump arrived at the podium dancing to the beat of the song.

It was too much for Swedish Abba, one of the most popular bands of the 1970s, and the band’s record company.

– Together with the members of Abba, we have noticed that Abba’s music has been used at Trump’s events. We have demanded that such use be stopped immediately, Universal Music writes to the newspaper Svenska Dagbladet.

– Universal Music Publishing AB and Polar Music International AB have not been asked for permission to use the music, so Trump does not have permission or a license to do so.

Svenska Dagbladet’s reporter was present at Trump’s election rally in St Cloud on July 27. According to him, after the song The Winner Takes It All, a ten-minute slideshow was shown at the event, in which Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson sang, among others, the songs Money, Money, Money and Dancing Queen.

Besides Abba Celine Dion, Bruce Springsteen, Rihanna and Neil Young have demanded that Trump stop using his music.
