On TV: Jean Claude Van Damme’s Street Fighter adaptation is the better of the two
In the film, Van Damme as the hardened Colonel Guile wants to put a stop to the evil dictator General Bison (Raúl Juliá), who is keeping a group of charity workers captive. For this Among other things, he recruits Kylie Minogue (!) as the elite fighter Cammy and goes into battle.
Video game adaptations have had a bad reputation for a long time, and Street Fighter is not without blame. Still, the film’s crisp lines and production design can entertain for a while.
