Leersummers are putting the finishing touches to floats for flower parade: ‘This will be night work’

Leersummers are putting the finishing touches to floats for flower
Leersum – Millions of dahlias are today butted, glued and pasted in Leersum for the annual flower parade taking place this weekend. And yes, it is painstaking work, but the whole village participates en masse. It is the first major parade again after corona: last year the flower parade continued, but in a slimmed-down form. A lot still needs to be done at the float of the youth council today, but they are used to that. “Every year you think again: will it work? We go on till late at night. It just has to be finished.”
