During the preparation of the recovery plan, residents’ evenings were organized. “You can also hear the emotions that the damage has caused, but I also found the residents very positive. They are happy that something is happening on a large scale so that the village is a lot greener again,” says Saskia Bottenberg, project leader and designer at Copijn, the landscape agency that drew up the recovery plan.
