Glen Kamara’s Leeds United is one win away from returning to the English Premier League.
Leeds United crushed Norwich 4-0 in the second promotion quarter-final of the Championship and advanced to the promotion final to be played at Wembley on Sunday, May 26. The opening part had ended 0–0 at Norwich’s home field.
The final opponent for Leeds will be determined on Friday, May 17, between Southampton and West Bromwich. The opening part ends goalless.
Coach Daniel Farken the protege’s performance at Elland Road left no doubt as to the superiority of the teams. Leeds, who finished third in the regular season, had collected 17 points more than Norwich, who came sixth.
Finnish national team player Glen Kamara did great in the decisive second semi-final and once again provided his team with a solid passing game and contributed to Leeds’ 1–0, 3–0 and 4–0 goals.
Bulgarian national team player Ilia Gruev a free kick shot from a distance, from about 23 meters, sank directly into the Norwich net in the 7th minute of the match. The hit was the defensive midfielder’s first in his career at Leeds.
Kamara made a mask for Gruev’s left-footed shot with a well-timed sneak run, and the Norwich keeper didn’t Angus Gunn saw the starting moment of the shot, and therefore no strong spin to the front corner.
