South Korean Lee Kyoung-Hoon won his second consecutive title at the AT&T Byron Nelson on Sundayby going up five positions on the last day thanks to a nine under par, which ended the dream of Colombian Sebastián Muñoz, who was leading the last round.
Lee became the first player capable of chaining two titles in a row at the TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney (Texas, USA), finishing with a total of 262 strokes, 26 under par, by the -25 of the American Jordan Spieth.
The South Korean made a brilliant round, without any errors, with seven ‘birdies’ and an ‘eagle’.
Sebastián Muñoz, who had achieved the tournament record on Thursday with a magnificent -12, delivered a card of 69 strokes (-3) and had to settle for third position.
Despite the frustration of seeing the possibility of winning the second title of his career vanish, the Colombian played a tournament of the highest level and became the first golfer in the history of the PGA Tour to deliver two cards of 60 shots in the same season.
Muñoz’s first time was last November at the RSM Classic on Saint Simons Island (Georgia, USA), where he also signed a round of 60 strokes (-10).
The Chilean Joaquín Niemann, who arrived this Sunday in third place and two strokes behind Muñoz, did not have a good day and finished with 74 strokestwo over par, which dropped him to twenty-fifth position.
