The Jyväskylä World Cup rally continues Kalle Rovanperän in command when half of the special tests have been run. Rovanperä is leading the race after Friday, eight seconds ahead of his teammate to Elfyn Evans.
The conditions were constantly changing and the water deficits were severe in some places. Rovanperä was still cursing in the morning that the car was not working the way he wanted.
– It has been a difficult morning with the car. I try to change the settings for every clip, but this was just fucking terrible. The car oversteers so much that I can’t be fast on such a fast road, roared Rovanperä.
However, the settings were improved, and Rovanperä scored four bottom times for the day.

Driving his first race in a rally1 car Sami Pajari made a couple of driving mistakes in the morning, but also got to taste a special test victory when he was the fastest on the Ruuhimäki 2 section. Pajari is sixth in the overall race.
– It feels really good. An exciting day all in all, Pajari mused.
– When the weather was better, it really came naturally. I don’t feel that I tried to go to Ruuhimäki to run the base time. When credit is found, it comes a little by itself.
This is how Pajari toasted to the finish line with a handsome jump:
Esapekka Lapin the race ended in the sixth special stage when he hit a tree. There were others who dropped out Takamoto Katsuta and crashed violently into a tree Ott Tänakwhose carter Martin Järveoja had to be transported on a stretcher for treatment. Later, Järveoja was said to be fine.
The rally continues on Saturday morning at 9:05 a.m. and the day’s program includes six special stages, including the legendary Ouninpohja, which is more than 30 kilometers long.
– Tomorrow the rally will be decided, and if somewhere, specifically in Ouninpohja, the Rovanperä karttur Jonne Halttunen ouanesteli
