Lebanon says at least nine people were killed in Israeli strikes | News in brief

The Lebanese Ministry of Health says at least nine people were killed in Israeli attacks on Monday evening. According to Lebanon, Israel bombed at least two villages in southern Lebanon. The Israeli strikes were the deadliest since Israel and the extremist group Hezbollah began a ceasefire.

Israel said earlier on Monday evening that it would carry out attacks on “terrorist targets” in Lebanon. Hezbollah, on the other hand, admitted that it carried out the attack on Israel in response to Israel’s previous attacks.
