For the second time in less than a week, the secretary general of Lebanese Hezbollah has violently attacked the LGBTQ+ community. During a speech on Saturday July 29, Hassan Nasrallah called on the Lebanese authorities to crack down on homosexual relations, which he described as “a real danger”, when the community is already in the crosshairs of the Lebanese authorities. A few days earlier, he had called to “kill” its members.
