Lebanon appoints Judge Nawaf Salam Prime Minister and opens the

Judge Nawaf Salam was officially designated Prime Minister of Lebanon on Monday January 13. The one who is currently president of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague was elected by 84 deputies out of the 128 in Parliament. The outgoing head of government, Najib Mikati, only obtained 9 votes, and 35 deputies abstained from giving a name to the President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun.
