The Blues will compete in the final phase of the Nations League with a double confrontation against Croatia.
This is the comeback of the League of Nations. After months of waiting, the Blues set off to conquer the Final Four by facing an old enemy, Croatia. Thursday evening for the first leg, Sunday evening for the return to the Stade de France, two games in three days which will also determine the rest of the Blues calendar for the qualifications of the World Cup 2026. Apart from France – Croatia, several beautiful posters are also on the program with a Netherlands – Spain, Denmark – Portugal, Italy – Germany.
For the first time too, in addition to the quarter -finals, promotion and relegation dams between leagues have been planned. As in the first three editions, the last of each hen is relegated to the lower league and the first propelled into the upper league. New is therefore a dam between the third of each hen against the second of the hens of the lower league, still according to the principle of round-trip matches. League D comprising only 6 teams, only the two teams in mind have their chances to go up to the upper league, while the two less good fourth in League C are condemned to relegation. To add again to the challenge, four tickets for the 2026 World Cup dams were also reserved for the best teams in this Nations League, not qualified via the playoffs.

The calendar of the 2024-2025 Nations League is divided into several days from September 5, 2024 to June 10, 2025, the date of the competition final. The group phase was launched in September 2024 and ended in November, the quarter -finals were scheduled in March 2025 and the Final Four in June 2025.

The League of Football Nations is organized in four leagues. The first four and the four seconds of League A groups qualified for the quarter-finals in round-trip matches, then the winners play Final Four (semi-finals + final).
The winners of the groups of leagues B, C and D are promoted in the upper leagues and the last of leagues A and B are relegated to the lower leagues. Each team ranked third in their pool disputes a round-trip matches dam to maintain itself, against a second in the hen of the lower league which plays its promotion.
League D comprising only 6 teams, only the two teams that came at the top of their pool, and the two less good fourth in League C, descend.
The 2024-2025 Nations League distributes four precious tickets for the 2026 World Cup dams. The best four nations in the general classification of the League of Nations (a 4th in League A Group is just in front of a 1st in League B group for example), which are not already qualified directly for the World Cup or the dams via the eliminations, win these tickets. These four teams will join the twelve teams which will have finished second from groups in the playoffs, to be divided into four lanes of four teams in the form of semi-final and final in a single match, each lane winner qualifying for the World Cup.
