“Arena is a new game mode in League of Legends where four teams of two players battle each other in alternate battle rounds,” the studio’s official statement says. Arena is the last team standing mode, with the ability to power-up your characters after each round using Augments.
Battles will take place on one of four themed battlefields that offer a variety of dimensions and terrains. Meanwhile, the champions of the new Soul Fighter alternate universe will make cameo appearances in matches. We’ll see if it has any effect on the game.

Soul Fighter is set in a new alternate universe where rivals battle to prove themselves on the world’s biggest stage, the Tournament of Souls.
“We’re really excited about the range of different experiences that make up the Soul Fighter event in the League of Legends ecosystem,” said Andrei van Roon, president of League Studio. It will allow them to experience it in new ways that we think adds something fresh. We can’t wait to see what players think.”

Soul Fighter; League of Legends is a six-week event that takes over the world of Runeterra with new game modes, skins, champions and more coming to Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics and Legends of Runeterra. The event is inspired by the unique character moments of fighting games. The event will begin worldwide on Thursday, July 20 and will run until Monday, August 28.
